What we grow

Farm Crops

Lemons, pepper, macadamia, avocado and walnut, grown for our own kitchens.

OVERVIEW

HOW WE WORK IT

We grow Eureka lemons, Thai limes, black pepper, macadamia, avocado and walnut for our kitchens, bakery and products, not for sale. Our nursery propagates new plants from the farm's own cuttings and seeds.

IN THE FIELD

THE CHALLENGE

WHAT YOU CAN LEARN

  • Propagation from cuttings and seed
  • Nursery management
  • Trialling new crops

Testing which temperate and tropical crops actually succeed at our altitude, and recording the results.

THE VALUE LADDER

These crops add value inside our own products, such as pepper in our cured meats and lemons in our bakery.

DID YOU KNOW?

Black pepper is a climbing vine. Green, black and white pepper all come from the same berry, picked and processed differently.
