Skugga Estate Vineyard represents the culmination of a vision to create Thailand's premier boutique winery experience. Located in the pristine Mae On Highlands of Chiang Mai at 350 meters above sea level, our family-owned estate combines traditional winemaking with modern innovation, creating a destination that celebrates both the art of viticulture and the joy of gathering.
Led by owner Anthony McDonald , who brings over 25 years of hospitality experience including fine dining restaurants, hotels, and event management, Skugga represents a passion project that combines culinary excellence with winemaking artistry.

The vineyard
Nestled in the cool mountain climate of Northern Thailand at 350 meters elevation, our vineyard benefits from ideal growing conditions. The Mae On Highlands provide the perfect terroir – well-drained soils, optimal elevation, and the temperature variations essential for developing complex flavors in our grapes.
