บริษัทเริ่มต้นจากพ่อและลูกที่ร่วมลงทุนในธุรกิจกาแฟในปี 2559 โดยมีพื้นที่เพาะปลูก 250 ไร่ (100 เอเคอร์) บนภูเขานอกเมืองเชียงใหม่ แบรนด์ถูกสร้างขึ้นในเวลานั้นโดยใช้คำภาษาสวีเดน "Skugga" ซึ่งแปลว่า "ร่มเงา" เพื่อเป็นการแสดงความเคารพต่อกาแฟป่าที่ปลูกในที่ร่มของเรา

การสร้างแบรนด์และผลิตภัณฑ์แฮนด์เมดคุณภาพสูงประสบความสำเร็จกับผู้บริโภค ซึ่งชื่นชมผลิตภัณฑ์จากต้นไม้สู่บาร์/ถ้วยของแท้ของเรา การผลิตตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบ และสิ่งที่แบรนด์หมายถึง และ:

หลังจากปลูกต้นกาแฟ 40,000 ต้นในป่าภูเขา Skugga ได้ขยายไปสู่ต้นโกโก้ อะโวคาโด และแมคคาเดเมีย โดยมีไร่อยู่ที่แม่ออน ห่างจากตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ 30 นาที ฟาร์มเป็นศูนย์กลางในการแปรรูปผลิตภัณฑ์ทั้งหมด และเป็นที่ตั้งของช็อกโกแลตบาร์ บาร์ชา โรลบาร์เบเกอรี่ บาร์บีคิว โรงคั่ว ร้านขายของที่ระลึก และอู่รถคลาสสิกสกุกกา

การปลูกไร่องุ่นของเรา - ตั้งอยู่ห่างจากฟาร์ม 2 นาที - เกิดขึ้นระหว่างปี 2564-2566 ไร่องุ่นจะมีห้องชิม ห้องใต้ดิน และร้านอาหารด้วย โครงการที่พัก "Forest Cabin" จำนวน 10 หลังติดกับไร่องุ่นเริ่มต้นในปี 2566 และจะเปิดให้บริการในปี 2567 อาคารต้อนรับจะเป็นที่ตั้งของ Skugga Gin Bar

Skugga Estate is a lifestyle and agritourism destination located in Mae On in the forested hills of Chiang Mai. The estate is known for producing award winning shade grown coffee and wild Assam tea, cultivated naturally in harmony with the surrounding environment.

After establishing its reputation in coffee and tea, Skugga Estate expanded into cacao farming and built a chocolate farm with a handcrafted artisan lab. A modern café was added to showcase the estate’s growing product line and connect guests with the origin of every ingredient.

The estate now offers a variety of high quality, single origin products, including handcrafted teas, fresh bakery items, and naturally fermented breads. Guests can enjoy an immersive dining experience called The BarBQ, featuring open fire cooking and seasonal ingredients sourced from the estate and local producers.

Skugga Estate has recently expanded to include a vineyard, a boutique winery, fine dining options, and a curated event space. These additions have shaped the estate into a complete destination for culinary travelers, event organizers (vineyard wedding), and anyone seeking a meaningful connection to food, craft, and the natural landscape of Chiang Mai.
